At Atlas Sports & Exercise Medicine, your health and well-being are at the heart of everything we do. Whether you're an athlete, an active individual, or someone dealing with pain that’s holding you back, we provide patient-centred medical care designed around your unique needs and goals. Our team is dedicated to helping you move better, recover faster, and enhance your quality of life through evidence-based, non-surgical treatments. Your journey with us involves understanding your concerns and creating a personalised plan to get you back to doing what you love.
All our initial consultations are in-person. This is because we believe that to really understand the nature of a musculoskeletal problem as well as your goals for recovery, we need to meet you.
The first step in the journey is a thorough Clinical Assessment, which begins with a discussion of your medical history, any previous injuries, and your current symptoms. This is followed by a comprehensive physical examination where we'll evaluate the cause of your discomfort or pain.
Using clinical evaluation, supported by necessary diagnostic tests (e.g., scans or imaging), we'll provide a clear working diagnosis to guide management.
Based on your assessment and diagnosis, we will create a personalised rehabilitation plan for you. This may include an online programme that you can simply follow along. Our focus is always on using the most appropriate, evidence-based approach for each case.
This may be multi-modal requiring both exercises and interventions and is often multidisciplinary involving input from allied healthcare professionals, such as physiotherapists.
Monitoring Your Progress: Follow-up appointments may be scheduled to track your recovery and adjust your treatment plan as necessary. We take your feedback seriously and ensure your rehabilitation is on track.
Depending on the nature of your specific case, we can arrange follow up in-person, or virtually via teleconsultation
Once your recovery is underway, we may conduct a return-to-sport assessment, ensuring you can safely resume your activities with reduced risk of further injury. This is a collaborative decision made with you as the patient.
